I wanted to share some of the main gear I have been using lately for my sketches. When doing
quick sketches or doodling, I like to use the Pilot C4, Jumbo Triplus or
any other kind of pencil. In my watercolors, I have been using lately
the Micron with Van Gogh watercolors, sometime with previous auxiliar
lines or sketch in pencil.
Pilot G-Tec C4 0.4 (0.2 mm)Recommended. Non waterproof.
Micron 0.05 mm (SAKURA)
Waterproof.
Jumbo Triplus.A thicker pencil than usual, that gives you a good line when properly sharpened.
Pentel brush.Refillable water.

I lost my previous watercolors and got this ones shipped from Spain, which are a little bit dirty at the moment. Is is a basic set of 15 exchangeable watercolors.
I usually use a piece of paper of the similar kind of the one I am going to sketch, so I can actually see how the color is going to look.
