May Gibb's Nutcote, Neutral Bay, Sydney

May Gibb's was an Australian Artist, Illustrator and Cartoonist. The house were she lived most of her life is in Neutral Bay, now it's a beautiful Museum, where anyone can feel the inspiration of one of the Australian greatest icons.

View of North Sydney from Neutral Bay. I'm using a new brush called COPIC MULTILINER SP. It's a rapidograph BUT with a brush nib.

A busy week

I found myself travelling all over Sydney these last couple of weeks, so I made some time to sketch.
I was on the North Shore heading to Mosman and had to wait for a connecting bus at Neutral Bay.
Then later that week I had to make a trip to Burwood. I wasn't catching a bus but waiting for a pest inspector to check out my uncle's house. We waited outside in the car as it rained, and the house happens to have a bus stop right outside it. The bugger didnt show up, but at least I got something out of it.

Neutral Bay

The lower North Shore is probably my favourite place in Sydney. I'm not a fan of suburbs, but the "Garden City" concept and the XIX early XX architecture looks good enough for me! The bits of shore here and there around Sydney Harbour are amazing to sit down, read the newspaper and realize that I should be sketching. A pleasant thought anyway.
